AC Milan chief speaks out on Barcelona’s Rafael Leão interest | OneFootball

AC Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani has on Thursday spoken out on the future of talisman and rumoured Barcelona target Rafael Leão.

The name of wide-man Leão has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines across Europe over the last couple of days.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the Portuguese has been identified as a potential late-window signing on the part of La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.

Amid their ongoing efforts to source fresh blood on the left wing, the Rossoneri are understood to have turned their attentions firmly towards Leão.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of such links was put to aforementioned Milan director Giorgio Furlani.

And, safe to say, the Italian could not have been much more definitive in his response.

Absolutely adamant that Leão will be going nowhere before the transfer deadline, Furlani told El Chiringuito TV:

“Rafa Leão will not leave AC Milan this summer. Barcelona move? No chance. No way. He’s not leaving the club. 100%. If Rafa asks to leave? He’s not going to ask to leave the club. I think my message is quite clear, no?”
