AC Milan: Christian Pulisic turns up the pressure
AC Milan are determined to extend Christian Pulisic's contract, but negotiations are stalling. According to Calciomercato, the American star is demanding a crucial guarantee before putting pen to paper.
Pulisic is tied to the club until 2027, with Milan holding an option to add another year. Despite this, the club's management is keen to offer him a pay rise, bumping his salary from €4.4 million to €5.5 million per year, aiming to make him one of the squad's key leaders. But for Pulisic, it's not just about the money.
Pulisic wants to be certain Milan will return to top form after a disappointing season that saw the club miss out on all European competitions. He’s only willing to continue if the club is clearly targeting a Top 4 finish in Serie A and a guaranteed return to the Champions League. If he doesn't see real progress in that direction… he could request a transfer.
The club understands his stance and doesn't want to apply any pressure. The priority is clear: reclaim a Top 4 spot. With 6 goals and 2 assists in 9 matches this season, Pulisic is negotiating from a position of strength. Milan want to keep him, but everything will depend on the club’s sporting project.
