AC Milan eye Real Madrid forward as a priority target for January – report | OneFootball

The summer transfer window may have come and gone, but speculations surrounding the future of Real Madrid forward Endrick continue to do the rounds.

As reported last week, Serie A giants AS Roma are considering reviving their interest in the 20-year-old striker heading into the January transfer window.

Now, another Serie A club, AC Milan, have set their sights on the Brazilian international.

Indeed, according to Calciomercato (h/t Bernabeu Digital), the Rossoneri are planning to revisit their interest in the Real Madrid striker during the January transfer window.

AC Milan already tried to bring Endrick to Italy during the summer, but Real Madrid rejected the approach.

Jose Mourinho was particularly important in that decision, with the Portuguese coach choosing to keep the Brazilian as part of his squad after his loan spell at Olympique Lyon.

The situation could be reassessed when the transfer window reopens in January.

AC Milan intend to closely monitor how much playing time Endrick receives during the opening months of the season at Real Madrid.

The Italian club would be prepared to explore a loan deal with an option to buy if the circumstances allow.

The competition for places in Real Madrid’s attack is fierce, meaning Endrick’s role between now and December could prove crucial.

His involvement during the first half of the season could ultimately influence the positions taken by both the player and the club when January arrives.

If Endrick, who has only recently recovered from a muscle issue, struggles to secure regular minutes, AC Milan could see an opportunity to revive their pursuit.

Endrick remains a priority for Milan

Despite their failure to sign him in the summer, the Rossoneri continue to regard Endrick as one of their leading targets.

The Italian club, managed by Ruben Amorim, have already made it clear to the Real Madrid player’s representatives that they would be interested in a loan if an opportunity arises.

Mourinho was instrumental in preventing Endrick’s departure during the summer, and his influence is expected to remain significant when the January window opens.

If the Real Madrid manager continues to place his faith in the Brazilian forward, convincing the club to let Endrick leave the Santiago Bernabeu will once again be extremely difficult.
