AC Milan have confirmed they've parted ways with Sergio Conceição with Massimiliano Allegri expected to step in as the new manager this summer.
Conceição took the reins from fellow Portuguese boss Paulo Fonseca back in December, when Milan were sitting in eighth. But after a rocky six months in charge, the team failed to climb any higher in the league under his watch.
He becomes the third manager to leave the club in the space of a year.
During his short stint with the Rossoneri, Conceição won 16 out of 30 matches,a win rate of 53 per cent, and did manage to deliver some silverware, guiding Milan to their 50th major trophy with a Super Cup win over city rivals Inter back in January.
As for Allegri, word is he’s already signed the deal that will see him return to the San Siro, 11 years after his first spell in charge came to an end.
