Rafael Leao is expected to leave AC Milan this summer, which means Arsenal could finally have the opportunity to sign one of the attackers they have followed for several seasons.
Leao has arguably been the most important attacker at AC Milan over the last few seasons, and the club have worked hard to keep him in their squad. Whenever he wanted to leave, they responded by offering him contracts that he accepted, allowing him to remain at the club as one of their highest earners.
However, at the end of last season, Leao announced that he would like to leave the club this summer, and Ruben Amorim is not counting on him. That situation has opened the door for the Portuguese attacker to complete a transfer during this window.
According to Fichajes, AC Milan have now set their asking price for Leao’s signature. The report states that they are prepared to allow him to leave for a fee of around 50m euros because they consider him one of the top players in the world who can strengthen any team.
Leao has consistently shown his quality with his performances, and his availability is expected to attract interest from several clubs. Arsenal are among the teams that have admired him for a long time and could now have the chance to make their move.
The Gunners are always looking to improve their squad, and adding a player of Leao’s ability would significantly strengthen their attacking options. His pace, technical quality and attacking threat would provide another dimension to the team.
Although completing the transfer could still prove difficult, Arsenal will be encouraged by the possibility that the forward is available. The reported asking price could also make the move more achievable if they decide to pursue the deal.
Leao is regarded as one of the finest attackers in the game, and he has the quality to improve Arsenal’s forward line. If the Gunners decide to act on their long-standing interest, they could secure one of the standout attacking players available during this transfer window.
