AC Milan are weighing a move to bring Brahim Diaz back to San Siro, with Rafael Leao now considering a surprise switch to Türkiye.
Corriere della Sera reports Milan have turned to Diaz after missing out on Konstantinos Karetsas, who joined Borussia Dortmund for €33m, with Ethan Nwaneri and Matias Soule also discussed.
A return appeals given Diaz produced 18 goals and 15 assists in 124 games and helped deliver the 2022 Scudetto. He remains under contract at Real Madrid until 2027.
The summer’s defining subplot is Leao’s future. The Portugal forward has reportedly signalled that his seven-year spell is over and, with no firm bids from the Premier League or La Liga, he is now open to Türkiye.
Galatasaray lead the chase and can offer guaranteed Champions League league phase football. Leao is receptive, but wants a double-digit million salary, while Milan favour a permanent sale.
Juventus had explored a move for Diaz before pivoting to Bayer Leverkusen’s Kerim Alajbegovic.
Milan and Galatasaray remain apart on fee and wages, and talks are expected to run through the window. Milan must also move quickly with Madrid if they are to secure Diaz’s return.
