AC Milan to wear '6 per sempre' patch in tribute to Franco Baresi

AC Milan will wear a commemorative badge on their shirts throughout the 2026-27 season to honour club great Franco Baresi, who died on 31 July aged 66.

The club said in a statement that the design, inspired by messages from rossoneri supporters, will feature across all of Milan’s teams.

The white and red crest carries the message "6 per sempre", which reads both as "6 for ever" and "you are for ever".

The phrase conveys the affection of the Milan fanbase for Baresi and for the number six, which in the club’s history will remain synonymous with the captain, loyalty and legend.

Milan begin their Serie A season on Sunday away to Torino.
