Malick Thiaw is at the center of an intense pursuit from Newcastle United. The Magpies have tabled a €30 million bid to AC Milan for the German center-back. However, the Milanese management has declined the offer, according to reports revealed today.

AC Milan has thus sent a clear message to Newcastle United. Despite what is considered a "significant" offer from the English club, estimated at around €30 million, the Rossoneri have made it clear they have no intention of parting ways with Malick Thiaw this summer. The soon-to-be 24-year-old remains a top priority for Massimiliano Allegri, who wants to keep the German international defender in his squad for the upcoming season.

The Rossoneri coach values the qualities of the Düsseldorf-born player and believes he plays a key role in his tactical plans. This technical recommendation weighed heavily in Milan's decision to reject the English bid. The Schalke 04 academy product also has the advantage of being able to play both as a central defender and as a full-back.
