The Italian side face a fourth Premier League team of the pre-season campaign and second in successive days. On Saturday, a Rossoneri XI drew 1-1 with Leeds United in Dublin. Milan also faced Arsenal and Liverpool during their tour of Asia.
Massimiliano Allegri is back in charge of Milan and tasked with reviving a faltering giant. Last season’s eighth-place finish in Serie A was the club’s lowest for a decade.
The clash will see several familiar faces return to Stamford Bridge. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Fikayo Tomori could feature against their former team, though Christian Pulisic is nursing an ankle injury.
Allegri is short of options at centre-forward, following the exits of Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham, so Santiago Gimenez could again feature despite playing 61 minutes on Saturday. Loftus-Cheek and Rafael Leao could alternatively be paired as an auxiliary attack. Heavy rotation from the team that took on Leeds is expected.
AC Milan predicted XI: Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Ricci, Modric, Musah, Estupinan; Leao, Loftus-Cheek.
Chelsea face AC Milan in a pre-season friendly at Stamford Bridge on Sunday 10th August 2025. Kick-off is 3pm BST.
In the UK, the match will be shown on Channel 5, with coverage starting at 2.30pm BST ahead of a 3pm kick off.
