Achraf Hakimi has been named in Morocco's squad for a home Africa Cup of Nations running from 21 December to 18 January. According to L'Équipe, Walid Regragui unveiled his 26-player list on Thursday.

The PSG defender has been sidelined since early November after injuring his left ankle in a Champions League match against Bayern Munich. He has not played since and could return in the opener against Comoros on 21 December at 20:00.

Alongside the 2025 African Player of the Year, two other Ligue 1 players are included, Marseille's Nayef Aguerd and Rennes' Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, who has only one cap.

Several players with French top-flight experience are also in, among them Eliesse Ben Seghir, formerly of Monaco, Oussama Targhalline, formerly of Le Havre, and Azzedine Ounahi, formerly of OM.

Lille's Hamza Igamane has been named among two reserves. Sofiane Boufal and Hakim Ziyech are not included.
