Achraf Hakimi has been ruled out of PSG’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern after a right thigh injury, and will be sidelined for the coming weeks, the club said in a statement on Wednesday.

PSG beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in Tuesday’s first leg at the Parc des Princes. The return is in Munich next Wednesday.

The Morocco international was hurt late on, and medical examinations on Wednesday confirmed a hamstring lesion.

Hakimi had already missed several weeks in the autumn because of an ankle sprain.

Goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier has also sustained a lesion in his right thigh and will be absent for the coming weeks. He is currently understudy to Matveï Safonov.
