PSG right-back Achraf Hakimi (26) will miss Les Parisiens’ away trip to Lorient after being given extra rest days, the Ligue 1 champions have confirmed. The Moroccan international scored a brace this Saturday at Brest’s Stade Francis-Le Blé, but he won’t be going back to Brittany just yet, as PSG will travel to Le Moustoir for Ligue 1’s Matchweek 10 on Wednesday.

Hakimi has been a consistent performer for Luis Enrique’s PSG this season. He only missed PSG’s home game against Strasbourg. The right-back has also performed for Morocco’s national team. The Spaniard, who considers Hakimi as the best right-back in the world, and his technical staff have felt that the time was right to give one of their key players a rest.

In agreement with the sporting management and the technical staff, Achraf Hakimi is being rested. He will resume team training on Thursday“, PSG have written in a statement. Hakimi will therefore be back in time for PSG’s home Ligue 1 game against Nice on Saturday.
