According to Le Parisien, Achraf Hakimi (25) wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain and extend his stay at the Parc des Princes by signing a new contract with the club. The Morrocan international has grown fond of the Ligue 1 champions and feels attached to the French capital club.
With Hakimi intent on staying in France, negotiations are ongoing between Les Parisiens and the entourage of the former Real Madrid full-back to find an agreement on a contract extension. No agreement has yet been reached but talks are continuing positively.
Luis Enrique declared that there would be a vote to decide who would be the PSG captain for the new season. Marquinhos won the vote and reclaimed his status as captain. Hakimi was one of three players to be named a vice-captain following the vote. Gianluigi Donnarumma and Presnel Kimpembe have also been nominated as vice-captains.
