Right-back Aderlan is seeking almost R$ 7 million from Santos in court, alleging the club failed to honour a settlement agreed at his amicable departure in August last year.
The agreement reportedly set R$ 1.2 million to be paid in five instalments of R$ 240,000. Globo Esporte first reported the action.
The claim totals R$ 6,805,400. It itemises R$ 160,000 for just cause and a 40 per cent FGTS penalty, R$ 92,000 for half of his July salary, R$ 281,900 in proportional salary, holiday and 13th pay, and R$ 973,500 for early termination.
He also seeks R$ 3,000,000 for the absence of life insurance and for the ACL sustained at the club, R$ 50,000 for moral damages, and R$ 2,500,000 for ending his deal within one year of his return. He says he cannot afford costs and requests legal aid.
A first hearing is set for 26 May in Santos. Aderlan left after falling out of the club’s plans and joined Sport permanently, departing the Recife side at the start of this year. Cleber Xavier’s staff prioritised Igor Vinicius and Mayke, with Chermont also competing.
He played three times for Santos last year. He had returned from an ACL sustained on 15 July 2024 in a 2-0 win over Ituano, then suffered right thigh pain and did not feature again. His contract, initially due to end in 2024, was extended until full recovery and ran to December this year.
