Santos have agreed a six-season kit deal with Adidas, running from 2028 to 2033, and expect stronger distribution and improved terms. Umbro will remain for one more year before the German brand takes over.

According to Globo.com, the fixed fee is confidential, though the agreement is understood to be superior to the current one and close to R$ 37 million. Over six years, the total value could top R$ 250 million when royalties, bonuses and fixed payments are included.

The contract comes into force on one January 2028, giving Adidas just under one year and three months to complete the project. Umbro initially moved to match the proposal, but Adidas again outbid it, aligning with the club's wish to change partners from 2028.

Distribution was pivotal. Adidas has pledged to stock Santos products in at least 82 of its own stores across Brazil, while the current supplier has no physical shops.

The kits will also go to major chains such as Centauro and Bayard, covering around 5,000 retailers, compared to 3,000 under Umbro. Sales are projected to rise by 30 to 40 percent.

The deal includes a signing bonus for Santos, with no advance on future revenues. The undisclosed amount is set to aid year-end finances, and there are title-linked bonuses for competitions including the Paulistão, Brasileirão and Libertadores. There are also periodic overseas placements, including stores in Orlando in the United States.
