Adidas feature Club América among elite clubs after return from Nike | OneFootball

Club América have been showcased by Adidas as part of the brand's elite stable, a little over a year after ending a 25-year spell with Nike to return to the German brand.

According to Americayya.net, rumours around the deal suggested the German company offered major financial terms and would place América among its top clubs.

That status did not arrive in the first year, but there are now signs of progress. The official kit carries the Adidas Trefoil, which only their elite clubs wear.

On the brand's social channels, América were highlighted alongside leading sides around the world. They were the only Mexican club shown, even though Tigres also wear the three stripes.

Across the continent, only five clubs appeared in that selection, Club América, Inter Miami, Boca Juniors, River Plate and Flamengo.
