Adin Licina suffered a wrist injury as Juventus faced Cremonese in a friendly match yesterday, leaving the youngster facing a spell on the sidelines.

It is a blow for Licina, who had been in fine form since leaving Juventus to join the Serie B club during the last transfer window. The loan was designed to give him regular playing time and allow him to prove himself at a higher level than the Juventus Next Gen team.

Licina had impressed since making the move to Cremonese, and he was able to make an impact against his parent club. The youngster provided the assist for the only goal Cremonese scored as they beat Juventus.

His injury now means he will have to spend time away from the pitch, interrupting what had been a promising loan spell.

Licina suffers wrist fracture

Calciomercato says Licina suffered a fracture to his right wrist during the match. The injury was immediately bandaged before he underwent further tests at the J Medical Centre after the fixture.

The youngster subsequently underwent minor surgery, and he will now begin his recovery as he waits to return to action.

The injury is an unfortunate setback for a player who had been making good progress since joining Cremonese. His performances had provided Juventus with encouragement over his development.

Juventus impressed by Licina

Licina will hope to return as soon as possible and continue his progress with Cremonese. The wrist injury could keep him out for a period, but Juventus will be hoping the setback does not seriously disrupt his development.

The Bianconeri have been impressed with his growth so far, and his performances during the loan spell have shown that he can compete at a higher level.

His assist against Juventus was another indication of his ability, even though the injury took some of the attention away from his performance.

Juventus will continue to monitor his recovery and development, with the club believing he could be ready to take the step up to the first team from next season.
