TS Galaxy head coach Adnan Beganovic says he expects a bidding war for highly rated starlet Puso Dithejane at the end of the season.
The 21-year-old joined the Rockets from Kaizer Chiefs' Dstv Diski Challenge [DDC] team in November 2023 after he was shown the exit door at Naturena for allegedly refusing to be a ball boy.
Since then, Dithejane has established himself as an important figure in the Galaxy starting XI, much to the delight of Beganovic, who admits the club might struggle to rebuff offers for him after the ongoing campaign.
“I am so happy with him, I think he has quality. He can improve more, he needs to improve more especially in the last third if he wants to reach that level to be on the top,” said the Bosnian mentor.
"With the ability he has, probably at the end of the season we will fight to keep him in our club because many clubs probably want him.
While Dithejane's sale would be a big blow for the Tim Sukazi-owned side, the 42-year-old tactician understands the club's business model is to sell promising prospects and revealed they are already in contact with a host of European teams for several youngsters in their ranks.
“But there is a process in the offer, we understand our club, how we work, what we need to do and produce young players and sell them. I think we have three or four examples in our squad this season and I think at the end of the season we can account easily to sell two players,” Beganovic added.
"I think for both our wingers we put more attention and target to sell to Europe because so many teams have already contacted us and they ask about both players and we send copilot results - clubs in Europe see what is happening.
"They see how much a player can sprint, high intensity, distance covered and they can't believe in South Africa one player can do that easily but I think many teams don't understand what is the level in South Africa.
He continued: "I can say this league is tough and it's a good league. The league improves every year, one step more [then] we can be happy because so many clubs play beautiful football for one goal more [than the opponent].
