Adonis Frías has suffered a right calf muscle injury, ruling him out of Santos' match against Noroeste on Sunday, 08. Kick-off is 16:00 at Alfredo de Castilho in the seventh round of the Paulistão.
According to Diario Do Peixe, the centre-back has begun physiotherapy and no return date has been set.
He started against São Paulo on Wednesday, 04, but was withdrawn at half-time with calf discomfort in the 1-1 draw at Vila Belmiro in the Brasileiro.
Frías has been a regular under coach Vojvoda since arriving. He started all six Paulistão matches this year. In the Brasileiro he was rested in the opener and then started against São Paulo until the injury.
At centre-back, Alexis Duarte, Zé Ivaldo, Luan Peres and João Basso are available to the coaching staff.
He joined Santos in September last year, with the club paying around four million dollars to León of Mexico. Born in Florencio Varela, Argentina, he came through at Defensa y Justicia, winning the Copa Sudamericana in 2020 and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2021, and also played for Los Andes before moving to León. His contract runs until December 2028.
