Adrian Przyborek could be fast-tracked into Lazio’s plans after catching Maurizio Sarri’s eye in training, following his arrival in recent weeks.

Italian outlets Il Messaggero and La Lazio Siamo Noi report the 19-year-old has impressed on the training ground and is already in contention to face Cagliari on Saturday.

Lazio unblocked their market in late December, then reshaped mid-season. Four players left and five joined the first team. Daniel Maldini and Kenneth Taylor are regulars, while Petar Ratkov has mostly been used off the bench, and back-up goalkeeper Edoardo Motta will have to wait for his chance.

Toma Basic has returned to training but is still in pain, so his availability this weekend is uncertain. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has not convinced Sarri in recent outings, which could open a pathway for Przyborek.

A natural attacking midfielder, Przyborek will need to adapt to a box-to-box role in Sarri’s 4-3-3. The creative Pole will try to restore some of the midfield flair missing since Luis Alberto’s departure in 2024. Whether he starts or is introduced in the second half remains unclear.
