Adriano Imperador is in Milan for the Winter Olympics opening and used the trip to visit Inter. According to Coluna Do Fla, his presence left Marcus Thuram emotional as the pair met at the club.

Inter’s official channels captured the moment and shared it on social media. The former striker also dropped in on a training session, embracing Cristian Chivu, a former team-mate now a coach at the club, and chatting with Brazilian forward Luis Henrique, formerly of Botafogo.

Adriano joined Inter in 2001 from Flamengo. He had loan spells but featured in almost 200 matches for the club and became an idol there.

He won eight trophies with Inter, four Italian championships, two Coppa Italia and two Supercoppa Italiana. He also finished sixth and seventh in the Ballon d’Or in 2004 and 2005.

Back at Flamengo in 2009, Adriano lifted four titles, including two Carioca crowns and the Brasileirão. He was a leading scorer and decisive across that spell.

Beyond the club visit, he also appeared for the Brazilian Olympic Committee during the opening ceremony.
