L’Équipe report this afternoon that former Rennes forward Adrien Hunou is closing in on a return to France, with Angers set to make the Minnesota United man their fourth signing of the summer, as initially reported by Le Parisien.

The 28-year-old left for the MLS in 2021 having spent his entire career with the Breton side until then, barring a loan spell with Clermont from 2014 to 2016, scoring a total of 36 goals and winning a Coupe de France title in 2019.

During his time in the USA, Hunou has scored 7 league goals in 35 appearances. The former French youth international is set to arrive as part of a loan deal with an option to buy, and has agreed personal terms on principle with Le SCO.

Angers are then expected to make Moroccan international defender Achraf Dari their next signing, with the Wydad Casablanca man potentially putting pen to paper on a four-season deal.
