Adrien Rabiot is a doubt to face Iceland this evening after the France midfielder sustained a minor calf injury.

France have already lost Kylian Mbappé and Ibrahima Konaté to injury over the international break, and they could be without another player as they look to continue their winning start to their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

Les Bleus are already in Iceland ahead of tonight’s game and on Sunday, Didier Deschamps announced that Rabiot would not be taking part in Sunday evening’s session. Deschamps highlighted that the measure was merely precautionary after the AC Milan midfielder had a feeling of discomfort in his calf.

Deschamps did not say whether the minor blow compromises Rabiot’s chances of playing against Iceland on Monday night. Should he not play, Les Bleus also have the likes of Manu Koné, Eduardo Camavinga, and Khéphren Thuram, who are capable of playing in the midfield role tonight.
