Toby Collyer is on the verge of joining West Bromwich Albion, despite Hull City making a late attempt to hijack the move.
As per Ben Jacobs, United and the Baggies are in ‘advanced talks’ over an imminent transfer of the 22-year-old.

It will see Collyer return to the Hawthorns a year on from his initial switch when he joined on loan last summer.
The midfielder went on to make 12 Championship appearances for the club, three of which were as a starter, before he sustained a serious calf injury and was ruled out of action in November.
By January, he had been officially recalled by parent club United, having returned to Carrington to start his rehabilitation.
The Reds then waited until he had fully recovered from the setback before exploring a new venture for their academy graduate, with Collyer subsequently joining Hull on loan for the second half of 2025/2026.

Yet, his injury woes unfortunately continued, as he twisted his ankle in training and ended up playing only five times for the Tigers.
Now navigating their first term back in the top flight, Hull had set their sights on a reunion with Collyer this week after being made aware of his availability.
However, the former Brighton and Hove Albion prospect is poised to turn down the Premier League outfit and sign for West Brom, with whom he’d already agreed a deal, instead.
Collyer joined United’s academy from the Seagulls in 2022 and has racked up 13 senior appearances, so he’ll be chomping at the bit to add to his first-team experience throughout the course of the season.
