Head Coach Markus Högner: “In the first 15 minutes, you could see that Recklinghausen was very motivated. We also made a pass or two that didn’t go where we intended. But then we got more and more into the game and created scoring chances. I’m really happy for Ramona that she finally broke through. The substitutes also did a great job later on. We can be very satisfied.”

Ramona Maier: “We knew it was going to be a tough and hard-fought game. You could tell that right from the start. Especially after my first goal, a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. I think you could tell that we really enjoyed ourselves today.”

This coming Sunday, the BVB Women face their next challenge in the Regionalliga West: The Black and Yellows will travel to face MSV Duisburg (September 13, 3:30 p.m.).
