Argentina's summer transfer window is set to run one week longer, moving the deadline from Tuesday 20 January to Tuesday 27. According to SuperDepor.com, the AFA's decision still awaits formal confirmation.

The extension will overlap with the start of the Torneo Apertura, which begins on Thursday 22. So the first round will be played while negotiations continue.

The international transfer exception is unchanged, with an extended window until 21 March for teams that sell or loan players abroad after the local market closes.

The measure offers relief for Boca, who arrive under pressure with several deals still in progress.

At River it could spark a late move if a suitable opportunity emerges during these extra days.
