AFC Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium plans have suffered a setback, with the targeted 11 May planning committee meeting no longer going ahead.

On Friday, the club said in a statement that BCP Council cancelled the date after requesting more information, and it still anticipates a May hearing while working with the authority to supply the detail required.

The timeline has already slipped. Initial plans aimed to complete the entire new south stand and all four corners for the 2026/27 season, but only part of the stand and two corners are now anticipated by then.

Work on the agreed enabling works package will continue, with stakeholders engaged to advance the scheme in a structured manner.

Further updates are to be shared when available, including any impacts on construction timing.
