Julian Araujo has undergone surgery on a thigh injury sustained during AFC Bournemouth’s pre-season camp in Austria, and the procedure will sideline the Mexican for the coming months.

Araujo joined Bournemouth from Barcelona in 2024 but has not yet established himself in the side, spending the second half of last season on loan at Celtic.

He impressed in Glasgow, though that stint was curtailed by injury, prompting an early return to Bournemouth for treatment.
