The second matchday in Group C of AFCON 2025 kicks off with a fratricidal clash that could already decide a fate. This Saturday, December 27, Uganda and Tanzania—both defeated in their opening fixtures—are playing for more than just points: they are fighting for survival. Uganda, punished by a clinical Tunisia (3–1), must address its defensive lapses and "regain maturity," according to Paul Put. On the other side, Tanzania showed reasons for hope despite their loss to Nigeria (2–1): Charles M’Mombwa reignited his side, but the dream crumbled all too quickly. This time, there’s no room for error.
The match between Uganda and Tanzania will take place this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (Moroccan time) at Al Barid Stadium (Rabat) and will be broadcast on the following channels:
Between a structured but jittery Uganda and a bold yet fragile Tanzania, the balance of power hangs by a thread. All eyes will be on one name: Mbwana Samatta. The striker, struggling at Le Havre, may be playing one of his last big acts. On the other side, young Denis Omedi—who scored in the opening match—could be the key or the spark for a revival. Here, there’s no room for calculation: defeat means darkness, victory rekindles hope. In Rabat, it’s a matter of sporting life or death.
