Sudan and Guinea-Bissau played out a tense 0-0 draw in the African Cup of Nations group stages.

Both countries were hoping to get their campaign off to a winning start, but had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Guinea-Bissau had the best chance of the game, after earning a spot kick in the last ten minutes of the game.

However, Tuncara Gomes, who is often called Pele, missed the penalty, and Sudan were let off the hook.

Guinea-Bissau have now failed to score in their past five AFCON matches.

They may rue the missed penalty, as the other teams in their group are giants Nigeria and Egypt.
