Following the conclusion of the final group stage matches in the U17 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Foot Africa looks at the African nations that qualified for the knockout phase.

In Group A, South Africa, fondly known as Amajimbos, booked their ticket to the round of 32 with a runners-up finish to Italy, having picked up four points.

Elsewhere, Senegal made a statement by topping Group C with seven points, level with second-placed Croatia, who have an inferior goal difference.

Meanwhile, Zambia booked their spot to the knockout phase after securing a second-placed finish to Brazil, whom they were level on seven points with in Group H.

On the other hand, Burkina Faso confirmed their place on the final day with a 2-0 win over Tajikistan. They picked up six points - three behind Group I leaders USA.

In a tightly contested Group K, where all teams finished with four points, Uganda qualified as one of the best third-placed teams, thanks to a first win at the expense of France in the penultimate game.

Mali are also set to represent the CAF region in the knockout stage as they claimed a crucial 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to finish second to Austria with six points in Group L.

In other groups, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt also advanced as one of the best third-placed teams in the tournament, while Ivory Coast are set to jet off to their homeland after a bottom-placed finish.

The Round of 32 will commence on Friday, 14 November, with all teams locked in to battle for the coveted World Cup trophy.
