A look back at RS Berkane's CAF Confederation Cup journey
RS Berkane/@CAF
RS Berkane will play their third African Super Cup, taking on Pyramids this Saturday, October 18, 2025, as the reigning CAF Confederation Cup champions. Let's rewind the journey of Mouine Chaabani's squad in this competition.
Granted a bye in the opening round, RSB kicked off their campaign against Dadjè FC of Benin, securing two comfortable victories: 0-2 and 0-5. The Moroccans then dominated Group B, notching up five wins and conceding just one draw against Angola's CD Lunda Sul (0-0). They later beat the same opponent 2-0, outclassed Stellenbosch FC (South Africa) twice (5-0, 1-3), and edged out Stade Malien (Mali) 1-0 and 0-1.
In the quarter-finals, Berkane proved superior to ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast) over two legs (0-1, 0-1), before demolishing CS Constantine (Algeria) in the semi-finals with a 4-0 win to book their place in the final, despite a 0-1 loss in the return leg.
The final, played over two legs, smiled on the Moroccans: a 2-0 victory in the first leg followed by a clinical 1-1 result in the return. A thoroughly deserved title!
