After Benfica success, Di María completes coaching course to prepare for end of playing career | OneFootball

Ángel Di María has completed a coaching course, a clear step towards his post-playing future. The Argentine Football Association said in an Instagram post that he had finished the programme and offered its congratulations.

The development follows a successful spell with Benfica. Di María returned to Rosario Central, his boyhood club, in the summer of 2025.

He has also been linked with a possible return to the Argentina national team. Around the same time, Nicolás Otamendi confirmed his exit from the squad.

It appears Di María intends to remain in the game as a coach once his time at Rosario Central ends. The qualification strengthens his options for the next phase of his career.

Across a decorated club journey, the winger has represented Benfica, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United.
