Harry Amass’ loan spell with Norwich City could well conclude with the youngster playing just 15 minutes for the club.
The on-loan Manchester United star signed for Norwich in a half-season deal last week, having spent the first half of 2025/2026 with Sheffield Wednesday.
United then opted to recall Amass from the struggling Yorkshire outfit to test his resolve elsewhere, deciding that Carrow Road was a more suitable environment for the 18-year-old to ply his trade until the summer.
However, it’s been nothing short of a nightmare start.

Amass was granted his debut off the bench against Championship leaders Coventry City last Monday, after which he proceeded to suffer a ‘serious-looking’ injury in training.
“It will be a longer-term injury. He is on loan from Man United, and it needs to be a decision together,” said Canaries manager Philippe Clement.
The two clubs will now need to discuss whether Amass would be best suited returning to Carrington to undergo his recovery and rehabilitation, like Toby Collyer did when he suffered a knee injury before Christmas.
It comes as a hugely untimely blow for the full-back, who would’ve been chomping at the bit to prove himself in a new environment after impressing with Wednesday.

Should Amass make the trip back to Manchester in the coming days, he’ll join first-team absentees Patrick Dorgu, Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount at the training complex.
Dorgu has been ruled out for around 10 weeks due to a hamstring complaint that he sustained in the win over Arsenal, while De Ligt has been unavailable since the clash at Selhurst Park on November 30.
Mount was ruled out of Sunday’s encounter at home to Fulham, although Michael Carrick did confirm that the midfielder’s issue was only a slight knock, so he is expected back in the fold soon – perhaps even in time for Saturday’s contest against Tottenham Hotspur.
