Rodrygo seriously injured, Brazil extends its support

After his cruciate ligament rupture, Brazil rallies behind Rodrygo
Emotions are running high in Brazil following Rodrygo's serious injury. The 25-year-old winger suffered damage to his right knee during Real Madrid's defeat against Getafe, diagnosed with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament along with an external meniscus injury. This lengthy spell on the sidelines puts an end to his season and casts serious doubt over his participation in the 2026 World Cup.
The Brazilian Football Confederation wasted no time in responding.
"The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) expresses its solidarity with Rodrygo Goes, forward for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team, who suffered a serious injury during the La Liga match against Getafe. Rodrygo has sustained a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament and the external meniscus of his right knee. The CBF wishes him a swift recovery and hopes to see him back on the pitch as soon as possible."
