It’s safe to say that the loan signing of Justin Lonwijk by Anderlecht in the summer has not worked out. The 23-year-old Dutch midfielder, on loan from Dynamo Kyiv, has only played three matches and a total of 39 minutes for the Brussels side. the Ukrainian’s don’t want him to return in January and, according to Voetbalkrant, have asked Anderlecht to find a new destination for him.
Prior to joining Dynamo Kyiv, Lonwijk had found success with Viborg in Denmark. He now looks set to return to Denmark to join Bronby on loan in January. During his time at Viborg the midfielder played 60 games and scored eight goals. Prior to that he had spells with Jong PSV and FC Utrecht.
Despite entering the season with a squad that looked pretty light, Anderlecht have recruited well and are currently second in the table behind city rivals Union St Gilloise. They are in the market for a defender in January.
