Dinamo Zagreb sealed a record 26th Croatian league title on Sunday without kicking a ball, confirmed after Hajduk Split drew 0-0 with Rijeka.

According to L'Équipe, Dinamo reclaimed the crown they lost last season. They have been denied the title only twice in the past 20 seasons, by Rijeka in 2016-2017 and 2024-2025.

The champions were confirmed before their meeting with Varazdin on Sunday, as they will be at least 12 points clear with four rounds remaining and hold a better head-to-head goal difference than Hajduk.

They can still hope to complete the domestic double, with a Croatian Cup final against Rijeka set for 13 May at 18:00.

The triumph owes much to striker Dion Beljo, a summer arrival from Rapid Vienna, who has scored 28 goals in 31 matches and is finishing fast, with 14 league goals since early March.

It also rewards former Ligue 1 duo Ismaël Bennacer and Kevin Théophile-Catherine, though both have featured sparingly this season, 13 appearances for the Algerian and seven for the Martinican.
