The new Scottish contingent at La Liga outfit Las Palmas will imminently be added to by another Tartan Army star.

This comes amid confirmation that Scott McKenna has agreed to take his talents to Gran Canaria with a view to the 2024/25 campaign.

Defender McKenna, for his part, is currently a free agent.

As much comes after the expiration of his contract terms with Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest earlier in the summer.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a fruitful spell on loan in Denmark over the 2nd-half of last season, where he featured prominently for heavyweights FC Copenhagen.

And, across this stretch, McKenna evidently did enough to convince those behind the scenes at the aforementioned Copenhagen of his readiness to line out in La Liga.

In turn, as per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:

‘UD Las Palmas have closed the signing of Scott McKenna.’

McKenna represents the 2nd Scottish international to have agreed to a move to the Estadio Gran Canaria for next season, after striker Oli McBurnie did likewise late last month.
