Boca have closed their first deal, and Marino Hinestroza will become a Xeneize player in the coming hours, according to LaNumer12.com.ar. The club are now moving for Alexis Cuello and Gastón Hernández.

To prise Cuello from San Lorenzo, Boca would need to pay three million dollars net for 60%, with the remaining 40% belonging to Almagro.

For centre-back Hernández, the Ciclón are seeking a fee close to four million. That figure mirrors what they asked Olympiakos in 2024, but the transfer collapsed. Boca tried in the previous window at the request of the late Miguel Ángel Russo, yet San Lorenzo refused to sell.

Talks had stalled amid San Lorenzo’s institutional crisis. With the club now regularising under interim president Sergio Costantino, Boca expect to move negotiations on.

Boca have also confirmed two pre-season friendlies in Ezeiza. The first is against Colombia’s Millonarios on Wednesday 14 January at La Bombonera, and will double as a tribute to Miguel Ángel Russo, who coached both sides.

The second will be against Olimpia of Paraguay, after Nacional withdrew to prioritise staying in their country for their build-up. That match is scheduled for Sunday 18 January at the Estadio Único de San Nicolás, with kick-off at 21:00.
