Agent Compares Inter Milan Starlet To Ex- Inter, Roma & Manchester City Legend | OneFootball

Silvano Martina, the long-time agent of Bosnian forward Edin Dzeko, has compared Inter Milan starlet Francesco Pio Esposito to his iconic client.

Speaking in an interview in today’s edition of Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, Martina spoke about Inter’s Italian forward and the resemblances he sees in Dzeko.

“He really does resemble Edin,” Martina said, “The first time I saw Esposito, he was still playing for the U21s.”

“He really reminded me of Dzeko with his movement on the pitch,” the agent continued.

“I hope he scores as many goals because we’re talking about a player with nearly 400 in his career.”

Dzeko is Bosnia’s all-time top goalscorer and played for Inter himself between 2021 and 2023.

In his two years with the Nerazzurri, Dzeko scored 31 goals in 101 games in all competitions.

Martina sees a promising career on the cards for Pio Esposito.

The agent said “Just seeing him play like that makes me believe we are dealing with a guy with truly great potential.”

He continued, “I also really liked the clarity with which he talked about what he still needs to improve.

“I also believe that he needs to be more explosive in the opening stages but that’s part of his development.”

Pio Esposito has been effectively handed the role of Inter’s third choice striker this season.

Following the departure of Mehdi Taremi and the club’s failed pursuit of Ademola Lookman, Esposito is the natural choice.

The 20-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan at Spezia.
