Pio Esposito’s agent has confirmed that Arsenal are interested in signing the Inter Milan sensation, but has swiftly moved to shut down any talk of a move to North London.

The 20-year-old striker, who has become one of the most talked-about talents in Serie A this season, is reportedly a primary target for Mikel Arteta as he looks to bolster his attacking options for the 2026/27 campaign.

Arsenal interest confirmed but Pio Esposito is happy at Inter Milan

Speaking to Radio CRC (quotes via The Mirror), Esposito’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, was unequivocal about the player’s future.

Giuffredi said: “Despite Arsenal’s interest, our plans are clear. He’s happy at Inter and will be the future of the Nerazzurri for the next 10 years. The boy is in love with Inter.”

The agent’s comments effectively pour cold water on Arsenal’s hopes of a summer swoop. Esposito, who only recently extended his contract at the San Siro until June 2030, is viewed by the Inter hierarchy as an “untouchable” asset.

Pio Esposito eyed by Arsenal and Manchester United

Despite the firm stance from his camp, Arsenal are not the only Premier League club monitoring the situation.

Arteta is said to have been impressed by Esposito ever since his impressive second-half cameo against the Gunners in the Champions League earlier this year.

But Inter president Beppe Marotta has publicly ruled out selling his prized asset. He said:

“Inter do not want to sell him and we are not a club that makes player trading its main business. He’s a product that grew up in the youth academy, and we’re guarding him like a treasure. We’ll talk about his transfer again in the future, but it’ll be a very distant future.”

Esposito’s incredible numbers

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a standout campaign, making 39 appearances while contributing eight goals and six assists across all competitions this season.

He previously spent two years on loan at Spezia Calcio, where he netted 22 goals in 79 appearances, further underlining his development.

Across his career so far, Esposito has recorded an impressive return of 70 goals and 17 assists in 202 appearances at all levels.
