Agent On Inter Milan – Argentine Starlet Talks: “Very Positive” | OneFootball

An agent involved in a meeting today has confirmed that talks for Inter Milan to sign defender Tomas Palacios were “very positive.”

Intermediary Marcelo Simonian spoke to reporters after the meeting, via FCInterNews. He gave a brief but clear update after the talks.

Today, Inter held a meeting with representatives of Independiente Rivadivia as well as a couple intermediaries.

These were concerning the Nerazzurri’s efforts to sign 21-year-old defender Tomas Palacios.

Palacios is the player Inter have set their sights on to make their final defensive reinforcement of the transfer window.

Inter are looking to sign a left-sided defender who can back up Alessandro Bastoni on the left of the back three.

Moreover, Nerazzurri owners Oaktree Capital have insisted on signing a younger profile. They want someone with room for growth rather than just a stopgap option.

And Palacios is a player who ticks all of those boxes.

Intermediary Confirms Inter Milan – Tomas Palacios Talks “Very Positive”

In the last week, Inter have made big strides towards signing Palacios.

First there was the matter of Argentine clubs Independiente Rivadivia and Talleres sorting out his ownership situation.

Rivadivia had had Palacios on loan from Talleres. They have now purchased him outright and are negotiating with Inter.

The club’s Sporting Director Sebastian Peratta as well as Augustin Villa, a representatives of Rivadivia’s ownership were at Inter’s headquarters today.

Joining them were agent Simonian, acting as an intermediary, and lawyer Luca Peluso.

All of these executives met with Inter’s directors. The purpose of the visit was to iron out the details of Palacios’s move.

There is no doubt that the Argentine is keen on making the switch to Inter.

However, there is still the red tape and contractual details to get out of the way. If the clubs are successful then Palacios could soon sign for Inter.

And agent Simonian was briefly intercepted by reporters after the meeting. He confirmed that the talks with Inter had been “very positive.”
