FC Bayern are apparently continuing to expand their network of former Salzburg managers. According to the latest reports, Bernhard Seonbuchner is about to move to Munich

According to the Salzburger Nachrichten, the former Red Bull Salzburg sports director is set to take on an important role at the German record champions in the future. The plan is for Seonbuchner to take on a „leading role“ at the Bayern campus and at the same time work closely with the Bundesliga team

Agreement apparently already reached

According to the report, FC Bayern and Seonbuchner have already reached an agreement in principle. However, a final implementation of the deal is apparently still pending. The background to this is the Bayern native’s long-term contract with Red Bull Salzburg

Therefore, the official approval of the Austrians is still missing

A potential transfer would fit in perfectly with the current structure at FC Bayern, as numerous managers with a Salzburg past are already working at Säbener Straße

First and foremost, sporting director Christoph Freund is considered a formative figure in this network. Campus manager Jochen Sauer, assistant coach Rene Maric and talent coordinator Richard Kitzbichler also previously worked in Salzburg. Seonbuchner would apparently be another important building block

Focus on young talent and development

The potential transfer once again underlines the strategic focus of Munich. FC Bayern has been investing heavily in the expansion of its youth development work and the dovetailing of the campus and professional areas for some time now

Seonbuchner enjoys an excellent reputation in Austria, particularly for his work in the talent sector, and could further promote this philosophy in Munich.
