On the international stage, Agueissa Diarra came through the junior ranks before playing the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with Mali’s senior team in 2016 and helping them to the semi-finals of the competition in 2018. In 2019, she finished leading scorer of the UFOA-A Tournament with seven goals as Mali finished runners-up to Senegal. Last season, she was named Mali’s Women’s Player of the Year at the Mali Football Awards.
