According to Meu Timao, Argentine defender Agustina Barroso and Uruguayan forward Belén Aquino were registered by Corinthians on Monday, their names appearing in the CBF’s Boletim Informativo Diário (BID), making them eligible to debut.
Barroso has signed with Timão until the end of 2026 after a spell at Flamengo. The 32-year-old returns to Parque São Jorge nine years on, having played only two matches then, both in the Libertadores that ended with a Corinthians title.
Aquino, 23, is under contract until the end of 2028 after impressing at Internacional. Corinthians had pursued her in early 2024, but she chose to renew with the club from Rio Grande do Sul. Both players have already been presented at the training centre.
Corinthians are still awaiting BID confirmation for three other signings. Midfielders Paola Garcia, formerly of Deportivo Cali in Colombia, and Ana Vitória, formerly of Atlético de Madrid in Spain, plus forward Rhaizza, previously at Bahia, remain pending.
The Brabas’ first assignment of 2026 will be abroad. On 28, Corinthians meet Gotham FC of the United States in the semi-finals of the Copa das Campeãs da Fifa in London, England.
