Teenage England forward Michelle Agyemang has confirmed that she suffered an ACL injury during the Lionesses friendly win over Australia at Pride Park on Tuesday.

Agyemang had been introduced by Sarina Wiegman with just over an hour gone in the game but had to be taken up towards the end when she went down with a serious-looking injury.

Wiegman told the press after the game that the Arsenal loanee's injury didn't look good and the player has now confirmed that.

In a post on social media, Agyemang said: "Disappointed that results show a torn ACL. I am so grateful for all the kind words and the support from everyone.

"Recovery starts now, I will be back stronger than before."

Agyemang was crucial in England's Euro 2025 success this summer and scored once in her opening eight games while on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion for a second season in a row.
