Ahead of the supervisory board meeting: Bayern boss Dreesen’s future has been clarified! | OneFootball

On Tuesday, the eagerly awaited meeting of FC Bayern’s supervisory board will take place. There are many topics on the agenda; for example, the future of Bayern executives such as Max Eberl and Jan-Christian Dreesen is set to be discussed. 

In Eberl’s case, there have recently been signs that, after initial skepticism, there are increasingly more positive voices. The FC Bayern sporting director could therefore extend his contract, which, as things stand, is set to expire in the summer of 2027.

Eberl has repeatedly stated that he would like to continue working for FC Bayern. Uli Hoeneß, the honorary president of the record-holding champions, has frequently provided updates on Eberl’s future in the past, though his most recent comments have been positive.

FC Bayern: Things are looking very good for Dreesen

It’s not just Eberl’s future that’s being decided. Jan-Christian Dreesen, the CEO of the record-holding champions, also faces an uncertain future. However, it seems the matter has simply not yet been officially clarified. According to information from the Abendzeitung , it’s already clear internally that Dreesen will remain in his position.

“We are very satisfied with the work of the executive board—and hopefully that will be reflected in the decisions,” Herbert Hainer, the current president of FC Bayern, recently told the AZ. 

And that’s exactly how it looks. Everything points to a contract extension for Dreesen, who has chaired the executive board since the end of May 2023. The only question remaining is how many years his contract will be extended by. Two or three more years are under discussion, but this will be discussed in more detail during further talks.

If FC Bayern can now pull off the planned contract extensions as smoothly as possible, it would bring even more calm to the club. And things are already calm, composed, and level-headed in Munich at the moment.
