Football League World has asked ChatGPT who they believe will succeed Marti Cifuentes in the Leicester City dugout
After six months at the Leicester City helm, Marti Cifuentes has been dismissed as manager, and the higher-ups at the King Power Stadium are searching for his replacement.
The Foxes have endured a tumultuous return to the Championship, just two seasons on from winning the title in their last second-tier visit in 2023/24.
Leicester are currently lingering in mid-table, with a potential points deduction from previous financial issues looming that, if as severe as feared, could see them in an unlikely relegation battle come the end of the campaign.
Therefore, getting the right manager in is vital for the Foxes. Someone who can come in and bring about positive results immediately to help the former Premier League champions move up the table, so if a deduction does come, they'll be in no immediate danger.
And, if the verdict on a deduction is delayed even further, Leicester could even find themselves in the play-off hunt come May with a positive surge under fresh guidance from a new manager.
Football League World has consulted the popular AI-based service, ChatGPT, to see who they feel is the right man to take the reins at the King Power Stadium.

When discussing who should be the next Leicester boss, ChatGPT believes that proven Championship success, a possession-based playing style and someone who is currently not in work are the three components for the new managerial position.
Therefore, Russell Martin is AI's choice to replace Marti Cifuentes.
Martin is one of the bookies' favourites to take on the role in the coming weeks, having been out of work since he was sacked by Rangers in October after just 17 games in charge of the Scottish giants.
Before then, though, the 40-year-old was at Southampton, where he helped the Saints to immediate promotion back to the Premier League, along with Leicester, in the 2023/24 campaign.
ChatGPT feels that a strong win rate in the Championship, paired with a possession-based philosophy and promotion experience, will be warmly welcomed at the King Power Stadium, and therefore, he'd be best suited to become the new Leicester manager.

Russell Martin's stock as a manager has fallen drastically since that play-off final in May 2024, and he's exhibited in both his latter stages at Southampton in the Premier League and during his Rangers tenure that he may not be well-equipped to be a top-flight or European-level manager currently.
The 40-year-old needs a fresh start at a club with low expectations, and with a lot of the focus being mainly off-field at the moment at Leicester, a place in the King Power Stadium dugout could provide Martin with the time needed to build his credentials back up at what is still regarded as a high-calibre job.
Ultimately, the goal for the Foxes in the next season and a half is to secure promotion back to the Premier League before their parachute payments dry up, and Russell Martin has that experience of getting parachute payments teams back into the top flight.
However, once in an elite division, he hasn't shown much to prove that he's capable of taking newly promoted sides to the next level.
Right now, though, Leicester can't be focusing on the future and the hopes of being a Premier League club once again. The reality is that they're a long way away from their goals, and someone like Russell Martin could be a good option to help the Foxes achieve them.
