Oussama El-Azzouzi will not be available for AJ Auxerre's upcoming fixtures. The Moroccan midfielder has suffered a neck injury and will be out of action for at least a month, as confirmed by the French club's coach on September 11, 2025.
The 24-year-old, on loan from FC Bologna until the end of the season, will not feature for Auxerre in the next four Ligue 1 matchdays. The news was announced this morning during the pre-match press conference ahead of Auxerre vs Monaco, scheduled for this Saturday at Stade Abbé Deschamps.
"Oussama returned from international duty with a neck injury and will be out until the next international break," coach Christophe Pelissier stated.
Arriving in Burgundy this summer, El-Azzouzi had already missed the first two rounds of the league due to a hamstring injury. He made his comeback during the trip to Nantes, coming on as a second-half substitute. This latest setback hampers his efforts to establish himself in Christophe Pelissier's squad.
