Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s future remains open, but FC Barcelona have not yet received a formal offer from Ajax despite the Dutch club’s clear interest.
The German goalkeeper has two years left on his contract, but his role under Hansi Flick has changed completely. He is no longer viewed as the starter or even the second-choice option, which naturally opens the door to a summer exit.
Ajax have been linked with a loan move for weeks, largely because of Michel Sanchez. The new Ajax coach worked briefly with Ter Stegen at Girona and wants him for his project in Amsterdam.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Ajax’s interest is genuine, but the situation has not advanced into an official proposal.

The report adds that Jordi Cruyff, Ajax’s sporting director, has already asked about Ter Stegen’s situation through direct contact with people at Barcelona. That shows the interest is serious, even if no bid has arrived.
